BUILD STUDENT LEADERS

Preparing all students for a future beyond the classroom.

Leadership is more than a position or title. When we believe that everyone possesses unique strengths and has the ability to be a leader, we can help students develop mindsets, behaviors, and skills to succeed both in school and beyond.

Why is leadership foundational?

Employers report that essential skills such as self-awareness, self-management, and responsible decision-making are foundational skills. They also report these skills are often the most difficult to find in potential job candidates.

The support you need to prepare lifelong leaders.

When schools nurture student leadership competencies that improve personal and interpersonal effectiveness, students are empowered to lead others and themselves to become the next generation of change makers and problem solvers.

What Educators Are Saying

“My whole teaching philosophy has shifted by learning the paradigms that everyone has genius. I now have the idea that every one of the kids has the capacity to learn and achieve greatness. It’s our job as their teacher to give them the tools. And Leader in Me really provides those tools for all students…and helps them grow in their independence.”

— Paul Dibbled, West Side Elementary

“Leader in Me helps students develop the skills and self-confidence they need to lead their lives and succeed in school and beyond.”

— Principal, Leader in Me School

“It struck me just how that leadership was instilled in our students every day. From the way they carried themselves in their classes to the way they tracked and held each other accountable for their progress and just had joy in the work that we did and do every day. It’s a huge thing to see that kind of impact in students.”

— Darrell Edmonds, Principal, Hendricks Elementary
